Adelaide | Simone Morel, PT
Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
I believe that an injury or pain has both physical and psychological aspects, and it is important to address both components in the rehab process. This may include techniques to minimize stress or rethinking how you interpret your injury. It is also important to ensure the exercises I give in a home exercise program for a patient are realistic and fit into the patient’s daily life.
What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?
Exercise prescription, soft tissue release and joint mobilization. I believe that a combination of hands on therapy as well as exercises leads to the most success when recovering from pain or injury.
What are you proud of in your practice?
I am most proud of how comfortable my patients are with me. I believe it is important for a patient to feel safe sharing all the details of their pain and injury, as this leads to a more effective treatment.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
I enjoy treating a wide variety of cases, but especially cases that involve weakness at the hips as the culprit. You might be surprised by the effect weak hips can have on your whole body. It is satisfying when these patients notice a difference fairly quickly and have a fast return to their activities of daily life.
