Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
I have experienced lower back pains, sciatica and shoulder impingement. From having poor posture, sitting long hours, feeling extreme tightness and stiffness throughout my entire body to playing countless hours of badminton destroying my right shoulder, lower back, hips, knees and ankles. I aim to use my experience with pain and recovery to help you recover as I did.
I aim to find the source of your pain and movement restrictions through a range of assessments. My treatments focus on releasing overworking and tight muscles with manual therapy and determining which areas of the body you will need to strengthen in order to create a long-lasting change for correcting your posture and movement.
I offer cupping as needed and often incorporate cupping in combination with manual therapy to relieve adhesions, trigger points and increase blood flow.
What are the top 3 treatments that you specialize in?
Myofascial release, trigger point release, deep tissue/sport massage: I use these treatment styles and techniques to reduce muscle tension, increase range of motion and decrease pain.
What are you proud of in your practice?
I am proud to be able to speed up my client’s recovery process as well as to be a part of their self care routine, whether that means getting them back to moving pain free or general maintenance work to reduce muscle tension.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
Cases that I treat often are lower back pain from acute injury or long desk hours, hip tightness, sciatica pain shooting down the back of the leg, and shoulder impingement from badminton, tennis, and volleyball.
I also enjoy being a part of my client’s biweekly or monthly self care maintenance with a deep tissue massage to reset their body so they can continue to power through their next workout program or to just live life!
